a delicious veal steak, in red wine sauce, with peppers and mushrooms and a personal touch "al'arrabbiata". simple, elegant, with an italian touch, romantic and passionate, ideal for a romantic dinner (when you're dieting but at the same time you want to cook something special for your husband or lover).
ingredients:
- 2 slices of veal tenderloin
- half a glass of dry red wine
- fresh mushrooms and red pepper
- mix arrabbiata: dried red hot pepper (pepperoncini) and slices of dehydrated garlic
- olive oil
- salt, pepper
- herbs for decorating
wash and clean the veal tenderloin, pound it and then spice it only with pepper.
in a bowl, mix the red wine with 2 spoons of "arrabbiata" spice and put the veal meat in this mixture. let it marinate for 1-2 hours in the fridge.
cut the mushrooms and the peppers in thin slices and temper them in a bit of olive oil. spread salt and pepper.
when the vegetables are half-done, add the veal meat slices. fry them for 1 minute on each side on a hot fire, next to the vegetables.
then add the wine sauce with the spices and let everything boil until the sauce reduces.
in the meantime, continue to sprinkle the steak with the sauce, keep the flame at maximum strength for another 5 minutes (make sure you don't extend the total frying time over 7 minutes because then the meat will not be tender anymore).
spread the herbs freshly minced before serving.
sprinkle the red wine sauce over the steak and the serving plates. does it look like a dieting dish ? even if not, it's guaranteed that this is a very light dish, so you can enjoy it without any worries.
this recipe needs a select companion: oven baked mushrooms filled with cheese pearls and herbs (a precious, light touch) and vegetables on a skew cooked in a mediterranean style (classical, simple, elegant).
enjoy!
